Delivery Information
All deliveries go out by first class overland post to the United Kingdom and by the most effective method to all other territories (this rules out pigeons, but does mean we can make use of anything else). We aim to get deliveries out on the same day that they are received and we guarantee that if the items are in stock then your order will be dispatched in no more than 48 hours from receipt.
How we calculate your postage
We have probably spent more time talking about this than almost anything else on this website which is sad, but true. The boffins at Royal Mail decided that it was a good idea to introduce a system where you pay not only for the weight of your item, but also the size and shape. Now we thought about employing a fold (for that must surely be the right collective noun) of origami experts from Japan to make sure that all our cards and other goodies were teeny-weeny but in the end we decided to go for a pure weight system. Without going into too much detail here let's just say that you, our most favourite customer, will find that you are the winner in this. Don't be surprised therefore if we sometimes send our children out on deliveries because we haven't charged you enough. If there is a massive anomaly in the other direction (ie we are getting rich beyond our wildest dreams on your postage charges) we will seek to refund you the difference.
Packaging
We are currently in talks with a packaging designer to produce some dead smart nessiemaclay.com postwear to make sure that none of your goodies leave us underdressed for the big wide world of sorting machines, post vans, mail trains, sacks, shoulder bags and ultimately letterboxes. We expect to have these on stream in May or June 2008. In the meantime, we do hope that you will excuse our slightly ragtag assortment of brown paper wrappers and jiffy bags.
